Yes, the rumors are true. A traditional home-style Thanksgiving meal is coming to BOEM, including a large bird native to North America we call the turkey. Are you surprised? Don't be. This is BOEM, and (with the help of God) we make good things happen.
Thanksgiving Meal Announcement
What: Traditional Thanksgiving Meal
When: Sunday November 30th, about 3:30 PM (after Worship)
Where: BOEM Worship Room (Vision Hall, #508) [see Directions]
Who: All are invited, including guests
Food to be Served: A lot. The menu will include:
- A full turkey
- Mashed potatoes
- Homemade gravy for turkey and potatoes (yes, you read it right, gravy),
- Green beans
- Cranberry sauce
- Bread rolls with butter
- Pumpkin pie!
- Lots more. (Kimchi may even show up. But you don't have to eat that.)
Thanks must go to the deacons for arranging this ambitious meal, using contacts in Seoul. BOEM is blessed in so many ways. Or, we might say, we have a lot "to be thankful for"!
