JEM Children's Ministry
Bucheon has a thriving English children's ministry! It is known as "JEM" and is led by Jenna Kim, BOEM's pastor.
We host a Children's Worship Service, followed by Sunday School, and then Children's Fellowship (snack time) on Sunday mornings, 9:00 to 10:00 AM! Find us in the main BOEM worship room, #508. (See Directions).

JEM's Purpose
JEM educates and trains elementary school students in the Word of Christ, through the English language. Our goal is to help them grow into leaders for Christ! JEM is a double acronym. It stands for Joy English Ministry and has the following further meaning:

Who Attends JEM?
Students of elementary school age (and their parents) are welcome, no matter their English level. JEM children's English levels range from beginner to fluent. After the worship service, children split into classes based on their English skill level. Sunday School class is held with our excellent team of JEM teachers, all of whom speak both English and Korean. |
JEM's Story
In April of 2013, BOEM's pastor, Jenna Kim, proposed an "English-language Children's Ministry", which a year later has become a thriving community. By the grace of God, JEM has grown to include dozens of regularly-attending children, ten Sunday School teachers who are bilingual in English and Korean and a worship team. All Children are Welcome!
Do you have children of under age 13 in the Bucheon area? We invite them and their parents! Feel free to Contact us with any questions. |
